Oslo’s Selmer has returned to the scene with a new piece, ‘New Me’. The track is a direct representation of everything it says on the tin: personal growth, change and moving forward. The message manifests itself through a nostalgic, charming lo-fi piece of indie music, chock full of jazzy guitar chords, synths and a bouncing drum pattern. He explains that ‘New Me’ is about his “transition from being a vulnerable teenager to becoming a young adult, where pretty cool things started to happen in my life. It’s the soundtrack of my life’s turning point”. While a solo studio project, Selmer has a band join him on stage for magnetic performances that should hopefully get back on course when the worldwide lockdown has lifted. - Dan Peeke
